Jay Schmidt
Jay Schmidt resides in Palo Alto, CA with Melissa, his wife of 29 years. They are the proud parents of Michael and Hannah. They shepherd the Palo Alto House church, which is one of a network of house churches known as the San Francisco Bay Fellowship, where Jay serves as a teacher as well as serving in the West Coast teachers group. Previously, Jay and Melissa served as evangelist/women's ministry leader in the Bay Area for eleven years and now both work jobs in Palo Alto. Jay holds Bachelor's degrees in Theology/Bible Languages and U.S History and a Master's Degree in International Relations.

Is it enough for us to just tolerate other Christians in our faith communities who have different convictions and practices? In this class we will explore what it means to “accept the one who is weak in the faith” and to embrace Christians who are “not like us.”
