Navigating the Times: Faithful Readings in a Complex World

September 11-13, 2025

As teachers in the Church, we are called to be like the tribe of Issachar, who “understood the times and knew what Israel should do” (1 Chronicles 12:32). In an age of stormy waters and shifting tides, the need has never been greater for steady hands and faithful guides—those who not only know the Scriptures but can help others live them out with wisdom, courage, and grace.

Reading Scripture is more than decoding words; it’s about learning to read the signs. Like sailors trained to navigate by stars, winds, compass, and sextant, we must be equipped to recognize the Bible’s layers of meaning—its cultural context, symbolism, and relevance for today.

This conference exists to train teachers and leaders to guide their congregations through the crosscurrents of a conflicted and confused culture. Together, we’ll pursue transformation, not just information—and we’ll work toward a shared hermeneutic that strengthens our churches and unifies our teaching.

Join us  online or in Kansas City, Kansas, September 11–13, 2025, for a transformative time of learning, connection, and vision. This gathering is for appointed biblical teachers, those currently pursuing a biblical studies degree, and anyone passionate about deeper Bible study and teaching. We look forward to seeing you at the 2025 North American Church Builders Teachers Conference!
