Joey is a a teacher, author, poet, and speaker specializing in helping people to understand the Bible and to experience deeper love by living according to the teachings of Jesus.
Joey is a church building Teacher in Augusta, GA and in the Carolinas and Eastern Georgia region of churches, where he is currently helping to build the Carolina School of Leadership.
Joey has an international teaching and speaking ministry called Teach Me the Bible. He is the Executive Director and one of the founding teachers of the Athens Institute of Ministry (AIM) (www.athensinstitute.org), which teaches courses in Bible, Religion, and Leadership online and in various locations internationally and has trained leaders, teachers, and members in Africa, Asia, the American Pacific region, Central and North America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Nordic region, and the UK.

By looking at how Jesus demonstrates applied differential hermeneutics and apologetics in Matthew 22 and by analyzing Jesus’s interactions with the Pharisees, Sadducees, and crowds, we can learn some of his methods of interpreting Scripture and addressing theological questions, as well as appreciate the relevance of Jesus's approach for modern hermeneutics and apologetics in a diverse cultural context.
